Ten Years After

Ten years from now... Doesn't that remind you of something ten years ago? It was this question from our teachers and our parents that brought us a bit of confusion, "What do you want ten years from now?" I could vividly remember what half of the class would say. Teacher and engineer. Those were the common answers yet I didn't fall under the "common answer category." Of course, I couldn't forget what mine was too. Although I was a little bit torn between architect and journalist (or sometimes, theater director), I didn't fail to say architect. Obviously, much of it was influenced by my grandma's recollection of her memories about my late grandpa, who was an architect (but who I didn't get to meet), which she used to share with me in our usual afternoon chat.

It Wasn't Great But It Was A Good While

2010 wasn't a good year for me in terms of career and romantic relationship. I resigned from work last May, leaving me unemployed for several months although I did recover from a job offer as a writer-working-at-home. But never did the heavens bless me with affaire de coeur—never, since time immemorial—although I am never anxious about it too. I am just saying.
